Natural Hair

One of the fun things about being women is doing different things with our hair. Nothing wrong with a weave, wig, some color, or extensions to change it up from time to time! But I have to say, there is a special beauty, strength, and truth that is attached to a person’s natural hair! I’m so excited that Black women are accepting and loving our natural locks and setting the expectation that our natural hair be included in beauty standards. We’re also demanding that our natural styles be included as “acceptable” in all work environments and creative atmospheres. Progress!

House of Blues

We’ve been celebrating our anniversary all week. The best anniversary gift was performing with my hubby at the House of Blues. This did so much for my heart. More to come.

This is my favorite right now. It’s been on repeat for 2 days straight.  Solange – Cranes in the Sky.

Farewell, President Barack Obama, First Lady Michelle, Malia & Sasha

Farewell, President Obama and family.  Thank you for inspiring me more than words could ever express.  Thank you for giving me someone to look up to in an era of so few positive examples.  May God continue to bless your family and all of your future endeavors.
